About the Role

  • Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff within the department to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes, and service levels.
  • Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
  • Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the ITIL framework.
  • Ensure end to end service delivery for the end user computing environment within Children's Health Queensland.
  • Install, configure, test, optimise, implement, and commission end user computing environment components in accordance with approved resource capacity allocation plan.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and recommendations on the operational performance of the end user computing environment.
  • Mentor team administrators and support personnel, provide technical guidance, ensure authorised processes and documentation is followed by team members, and correct non-compliance of service operations.
  • Proactively monitor service resources and components to ensure a high level of security, continuity, capacity, and end-to-end availability, and escalate areas of concern.
  • Perform administrative functions and other duties as directed by the Technical Operations Manager.
