About the Opportunity

The Chief Digital Transformation Officer will work collaboratively with the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE), other Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members and various leaders across CHQ. The position will:

  • Participate as a key member of ELT.
  • Provide leadership and management of all digital services.
  • Be responsible for the oversight of CHQ digital strategy and risk management and providing overall leadership in the establishment of digital excellence as a business partner across the HHS.
  • Oversee the CHQ digital health service reform and enhancement as well as lead the delivery and effective implementation of the digital strategy and strategic plan.

About the Role

  • Provide vision, leadership, and governance of the CHQ Digital Strategy and architecture, ensuring alignment with the QLD Government Digital Strategy and eHealth Strategy for QLD, public sector policies, standards, operating protocols, and industry practice.
  • Lead innovation and business transformation through development of digital solutions that support the efficient and effective provision of health services.
  • Lead engagement with key clinical and business stakeholders including eHealth QLD, manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure business outcomes are met.
  • Lead the delivery of technology strategies, service structures and team capability and workplans that align to and deliver on the strategic direction of the organisation, and provide oversight of the development, governance, and delivery of the CHQ Technology Roadmap.
  • Lead the optimisation and enhancement of CHQ's enterprise architecture function, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architectures.
  • Lead a technology partnership delivery model to improve the quality, speed and cost outcomes derived from technology investments, including the transformation of the structure, capabilities and capacity of the ICT team and function.
  • Lead the development and implementation of robust governance, policies, procedures, operating standards, and monitoring of key performance indicators to facilitate optimal levels of support for the organisation's ICT requirements.
  • Lead ICT strategic partnerships with, consumers, eHealth Queensland, the Australian Digital Health Agency, Queensland Department of Health, other Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), external partners (including Primary Health Networks, the Mater Health Service, Non-Government Organisations, and other government agencies), other state jurisdictions and industry partners.
  • Establish and effectively maintain collaborative business relationships and partnerships to ensure that CHQ activities are integrated, productive and opportunities to leverage and share are maximised.
