To help address this, Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ), in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen. The program includes building three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities and delivering thousands of new hospital beds in the next five years. The Director, Infrastructure Planning and Delivery has a leadership role with HIQ and will be accountable for the successful planning and delivery of capital projects/programs they are assigned. The Director, will lead a project team/s (Project Directors, Project Managers and Projects Officers), providing clear direction in navigating through complex / substantial risk projects to drive quality infrastructure outcomes in partnership with HHSs.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering large scale complex projects within a health infrastructure service delivery environment or similar.
- Experience in leading and managing a high performing team while ensuring quality human and financial resources practices are adhered to.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiations skills at a senior level, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other industry partners to achieve required outcomes.
- The ability to plan, manage and implement strategic solutions in managing outcomes for a large-scale project.
