As the Principal Business Analyst, reporting to the Project Manager, Statistical Standards and Strategies Unit, Statistical Services Branch, you will be pivotal in leading, managing and executing business analysis activities within significant ICT program/projects.
What you'll do
Lead and manage business analysis activities within a large ICT program/project. Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the business analysis framework in accordance with Queensland Health standards. Provide strategic and operational advice regarding program/project direction for business analysis activities. Provide mentorship and support to business and technical staff as well as initiate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities on a large scale, complex IM/ICT program/project(s), in the health industry with software development in the statistical and data collection business domains highly desirable. (SFIA Skill: BUAN/BUSA: Level 5).
- Demonstrated experience leading business process modelling activities for large scale complex organisations, in the health industry with software development in the statistical and data collection business domains and use of Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) highly desirable. (SFIA Skill: BSMO: Level 5).
- Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
- Technical experience in the Oracle database development stack covering the following is highly desirable
- Collaborating with technical teams and reverse-engineering functional requirements from Oracle database code (SQL, PL/SQL) and data models to support enhancements, integrations, and modernisation efforts.
- User story creation using Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Supporting quality assurance testing activities by validating complex system behaviours against business requirements, reviewing test cases, hands-on testing of complex systems and logging defects.
- Experience supporting ICT procurement activitiesin large scale, complex IM/ICT program/project(s)is highly desirable.
