About the role
Temporary part time opportunity to deliver high quality, evidence based Speech Pathology services as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers of Redcliffe-Caboolture Child and Youth Mental Health Service (RC-CYMHS) who experience severe and complex mental health disorders, their carers and relevant stakeholders.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver high level speech pathology services to consumers with complex mental health and alcohol and other drug treatment needs based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with professional practice, ethical and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate consumer focused outcomes and performed with a high degree of independence.
- Provide high level specialised clinical advice and reports, and work collaboratively with team members and other relevant agencies to provide multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention for CYMHS consumers.
- Provide high level specialised mental health knowledge and skill into team training and continuing professional development activities to contribute to the knowledge and skills of the mental health team as part of CYMHS.
- Provide clinical leadership and participate in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement activities within the RC-CYMHS to continually improve consumer intake and referral pathways, and access to optimal care relevant to their needs.
