About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to provide strategic direction and operational management of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals across Intellectual and Developmental Disability, and Specialist Services providing clinical care, assessment, and therapeutic interventions to offer assessment and management advice supporting consumers with co-occurring Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disability, and complex needs.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide strategic direction to the Intellectual and Developmental Disability, and Specialist Services in line with organisational, state-wide, and national priorities and plans.
  • As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver contemporary advanced level-services that are based on valid and reliable evidence, that are in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, and performed with a high degree of independence.
  • Facilitate and promote effective communication across the service, with our partners, our consumers, and their families and significant others.
  • Proactively plan labour and non-labour expenditure and manage the financial resources of the team for efficient and effective delivery of the health service within a defined budget.
  • Conduct regular proactive workforce planning and staff profile management to ensure uninterrupted and continual service delivery including monitoring team Key Performance Indicators and implementing strategies accordingly.
