About the role

Deliver competent, evidence based clinical psychology services as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers (and their carers) of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service. Care is delivered with a focus on consumer and carer needs. This is achieved through comprehensive clinical assessment, consumer education, formulation, therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within a multidisciplinary context. The above interventions are delivered within Recovery Oriented, Developmental, Systemic, Attachment, Trauma Informed and Sociocultural frameworks.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Use effective communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with consumers and carers, the multidisciplinary team and the psychology professional group, hospital and health service staff including from other Hospital and Health Services, private practitioners and government and non-government support agencies.
• Deliver clinical education and clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychologists, students and members of the multidisciplinary team, commensurate with level of experience, with the support and guidance of senior clinical staff.
