About the role

Permanent full time and part time opportunity to deliver competent, evidence based psychological clinical services in the assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health issues, their families, carers and relevant stakeholders, in an acute setting and home-based service. This position operates as a member of an integrated, multidisciplinary mental health team with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a recovery framework.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Services will be provided via a range of delivery methods to ensure ongoing safety. These may include, but not limited to telephone, clinic appointments, home visits and input from non-clinical support workers or NGOs, depending on clinical need and acuity.
  • Provide competent level Psychology advice and education to the multidisciplinary team, operational supervisors, and key stakeholders regarding professional standards and clinical service development.
  • Deliver clinical education and clinical practice supervision to less experienced allied health professionals, students and members of the multidisciplinary team, commensurate with level of experience, with the support and guidance of senior clinical staff.
