Provide clinical leadership and professional supervision to less experienced Psychologists to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the service.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Provision of culturally safe psychological screening and assessment (including the use of specialised psychological measures such as self-report rating scales, personality inventories, intellectual, cognitive, and capacity assessment) to assist with diagnosis, formulation, and treatment. This includes the interpretation of test results and the provision of written reports to inform treatment and guide referrals
• Application of key psychological theories (e.g., Cross-Cultural Psychological Theories, Cognitive-Behavioural Theories, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy – Bio-Psycho-Social Model, Developmental Theories, Transtheoretical Approach - Stage of Change Model, Psychoanalytical, and Humanistic) to an understanding of consumers and development of high-level psychological formulations and care plans.
• Delivery of high-level evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions for consumers and their families/carers who present to the service due to severe, complex and enduring mental health problems, including the development and provision of individual and group based therapeutic programs (for example utilising frameworks related to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
