About the role
Provide high-level and high-quality, evidence-based social work services and leadership as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers of the Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS), Metro North Mental Health – Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (MNMH-RBWH) with severe and complex mental health disorders, their families and carers, and relevant stakeholders.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver high-level social work clinical services to consumers aged over 65 years experiencing complex mental health treatment needs based on valid and reliable evidence
- Utilise effective communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with consumers and carers; the multidisciplinary team; other Hospital and Health Service, government and non-government support agencies, General Practitioners, and Private Practitioners.
- Provide clinical leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of practices, procedures, and service improvement or research activities that enhance social work service delivery and support the continuum of care within an innovative mental health service.
