About the role
The Mental Health Clinician provides high-quality, evidence-based social work, psychology, or occupational therapy services via the 1300MHCALL telehealth line. This includes triage, assessment, crisis support, and therapeutic intervention for individuals with complex mental health needs within a trauma-informed recovery framework.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values:
• Deliver competent-level social work, psychology, or occupational therapy clinical services to consumers with complex mental health needs.
• Provide telephone-based triage, crisis support, risk assessment, and brief therapeutic interventions via 1300MHCALL.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to support problem-solving, diagnostic clarification, and care planning.
• Advocate for consumers, families, and carers, and liaise with internal and external service providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teamwork, supervision, and continuous professional development to enhance service quality.
