About the role
Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to provide specialised research skills and services for Health Excellence and Innovation, specifically leading and managing the program of research Optimising patient flow: reducing delay to discharge from acute wards to residential aged care facilities (RACF) to improve access block in the emergency department. This may include co-ordination and management of research studies, collaboration with research partners, development of research proposals and funding applications, gaining clinical governance and ethical clearance and maximising project outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Integrate nursing and health care knowledge, skills and ability by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
- Coordinate the development of specific clinical research projects by assisting with the development of research protocols and managing ethical and clinical governance approval and preparing applications for grant funding.
- Deliver specialised clinical research skills and consultancy services within interprofessional and/or multi-disciplinary teams, with minimal direct clinical supervision.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, advice and supervision as necessary to researchers and/or clinicians to foster and implement research activities.
