About the role
The Palliative Care Digital and Business Intelligence role will champion an interdisciplinary culture and a shared vision for providing efficient and high-quality services across the care continuum. The role purpose is to:
- Coordinate and lead business practice improvement projects for the Specialist Palliative Care Service (SPCS) to ensure best practice processes are incorporated, and lead standardisation of workflows, processes and reporting functions.
- Manage and coordinate the ongoing maintenance and development of electronic systems, as well as the advanced review and interpretation of related data within these systems.
- Independently undertake and manage a multifaceted continuous quality improvement programme aimed at promoting value-based, patient-centred healthcare to stakeholders throughout the health service.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of and advocacy for the Specialist Palliative Care Service and appropriate digital improvement practices in MNH.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide high-level interdisciplinary leadership, clinical expertise, and support to palliative care clinicians in the use of clinical systems implemented in line with the Metro North Digital Strategy and timeline.
- Implement the terminal management plans and palliative care PowerPlan within the ieMR.
- Apply advanced clinical research methodology to develop and coordinate a MN Palliative Care research agenda based on agreed research priorities with key stakeholders, driving service development, improved healthcare outcomes and clinical practice standards.
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning and knowledge to develop, implement, and evaluate complex Palliative Care service planning initiatives and projects for improved clinical outcomes.
