About the role

The Senior Health Informatics Officer will provide support to the Manager Health Informatics in Health Information Services supported systems including governance, data quality audits, the development and delivery of training and education around data quality and new system implementations within TPCH.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide support to the Manager Health Informatics in the management, maintenance and data quality reporting of relevant Health Information Services supported digital applications including the Patient Administration System (e.g. HBCIS), Enterprise Discharge Summary (EDS), The Viewer (TV), QFlow, Dragon Medical Workflow Manager (DMWM), Message Media, ESM, ieMR and My Health Record.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness and quality of patient digital applications and related data, including maintenance of relevant procedures, provision of support and training of clinical and non-clinical staff and other HIS resources.
  • Maintain code sets and reference files as they apply to TPCH, co-ordinate the development of new code sets / reference files for TPCH; and educate systems users about state-wide changes.
  • Actively support the Manager Health Informatics in the project management and implementation of an electronic medical record as part of the Department of Health and Metro North Hospital and Health Service initiatives; and assist in the development and coordination of change management processes required for patient digital applications system implementations.
  • Participate in the coordination, collection and reporting of performance data for HIS supported digital applications.
