About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a small, supportive team in the niche area of guardianship and administration. The Senior Social Worker position will support clinicians across Queensland as part of a statewide program! There are career advancement opportunities within the team and flexible working arrangements available once the successful candidate is established within the team. About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Manage an allocated workload within the Program, through the coordination of and adherence to the established quality review processes of QCAT inpatient applications, in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, policies and procedures, and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior staff.
- Demonstrate high level written and oral communication skills, including the use of clinical handover principles, to consult and work effectively within the multidisciplinary team, as well as with a broad range of health professionals, teams, agencies, and other stakeholders both internal and external to the health system.
- Contributes to ongoing identification, development, and implementation of quality process improvements within the Program.
