About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to support the planning, development and negotiation of procurement activities for the Corporate Goods and Services category across Metro North Health (MNH) with a particular focus on customer objectives and probity principles. The Procurement and Contracts Officer is responsible for facilitating end-to-end procurement activities including the management of eventuating contracts as directed by the Principal Procurement and Contract Officer.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Support the Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer to provide a point of accountability and manage all aspects of the Corporate Goods and Services category of procurement, management and reporting within MNH
- Ensure communication and consultation with key department personnel and external stakeholders to ensure all procurement processes are compliant and inclusive
- Be an active team member within the category, contributing to planning and development of procurement activities to encompass all of the steps involved in effective procurement and on-going contract management of goods and services
