About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide authoritative, modern, specialist advice in all areas of asset accounting and asset governance and responds to new public sector financial management initiatives as they relate to non-current assets. This includes developing and maintaining appropriate policies, procedures, guidelines and systems to facilitate asset accounting and capital reporting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide monthly reporting to Board and Executive on asset spend and expenditure commitments including source and expenditure of funds
- Critically analyse, assess and challenge, where necessary, asset acquisitions purchased on behalf of Metro North Health
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and requirements.
- Supervise and manage staff in line with quality contemporary human resource practices and policies including workplace health and safety, ethical behaviour, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination, and commitment to their implementation consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic intent of Queensland Health.
