About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to coordinate and manage the provision of informed choice regarding patient election for all patients (both public and private) being admitted to facilities across Metro North Health Service (MNH) which includes the supervision of the Patient Option Liaison Officer (POLO) teams located at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS), The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Caboolture and Redcliffe Hospitals.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide advice on patient election systems and processes across MNH.
- Provide advice on strategic revenue regarding revenue promotion opportunities, change management of revenue systems and processes across MNH. Such advice would encompass both the public and private health sectors in addition to matters at the Commonwealth level.
- Interpret legislative frameworks, financial management practices, policies, and guidelines.
- Coordinate and manage an effective and efficient patient choice and informed financial consent function for MNH.
- Liaise with patients, hospital staff, Senior Medical Officers and Visiting Medical Officers with regards to estimated costs associated with private treatment
