About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to assist with conducting routine compliance inspections, undertake evidence gathering during targeted enforcement and where necessary prepare briefs of evidence and appear in court hearings.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and other guideline material relating to the operations and functions of the Unit.
- Take appropriate enforcement action against persons found to be contravening public health legislation, including the routine compliance inspections, and serving of statutory notices and fixed penalty notices where appropriate. This will also include gathering evidence, writing reports and attending Court.
