Queensland Academy for Creative Industries (QACI) seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cleaner to join our team. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis.

The right person for this role will contribute to the health and wellbeing of QACI's community by supporting the efficient and effective up-keep of our environment. QACI maintains high expectations of its cleaning and facilities team.

About Queensland Academy for Creative Industries (QACI)

As a selective entry senior high school, QACI offers students in Years 10 to 12, unique learning opportunities in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme curriculum.

Centrally located in Kelvin Grove Urban Village, QACI offers a unique working environment. The school occupies a single 7 storey air-conditioned building, with secure on-site parking available for staff. QACI employees enjoy a supportive and collaborative team environment, where staff wellbeing is highly valued.

About the Role
As a Cleaner you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
  • Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
  • Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
  • The successful applicant will have the ability to carry out cleaning duties with limited supervision and cooperatively participate as a team member when required.
