This is a temporary full-time position to commence from 14 July 2025 until 12 December 2025 with possible extension.

About the Role
As the Head of Department - Student Services, you will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of key tasks with Year 7 and 8 students:
- Leadership in Student Support: Oversee Student Services, providing expert guidance on student welfare, engagement, attendance, and inclusion.
- Academic and Attendance Support: Monitor student wellbeing, behaviour, and academic progress; implement targeted interventions to improve outcomes and attendance.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement inclusive procedures and practices that address the needs of diverse and disadvantaged students, including new arrivals.
- Collaboration and Engagement: Work with families, community groups, and external agencies to support holistic student development and transition into the school.
- Staff Support and Capacity Building: Support teaching and leadership staff with strategies and tools to enhance student achievement, behaviour, and engagement.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies; coordinate data reporting and program evaluation as required.
- Resource Management: Manage the department's human, financial, and curriculum resources to meet strategic goals and service delivery standards.
