About the Department

About the Role

The Metropolitan North Regional Services team is looking for someone dynamic and eager to achieve resolutions for parents, carers, and community members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide quality advice and assistance, about departmental policy and guidelines, to parents, carers, and other members of the school community across the region
  • Take an active role, as the first point of contact, in assisting parents, carers, and community members to resolve their concerns, by providing a conduit between them and school personnel
  • Listen and understand using empathy and compassion, via initial telephone contact with parents, carers, and other community members regarding concerns or complaints, and refer them to the school to discuss a suitable outcome

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to listen with empathy and respond with professionalism
  • Confidence in managing sensitive matters independently
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping capability
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
