About the Role:

You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by addressing school staffing needs across our region through a variety of HR functions and activities. This will be achieved through collaborative engagement, relationship building, and the delivery of strategic, solutions-focussed HR advice and support.

This role has the potential to evolve into a hybrid generalist HR position, initially addressing emerging regional needs in injury management. A flexible mindset and a willingness to grow and adapt to the department's evolving requirements, in alignment with contemporary HR practices, will be highly regarded.

Our team is co-located within the Brisbane North / Moreton Bay area with offices in Nundah and North Lakes as potential base locations. Flexible work arrangements are available and can be negotiated.

What you will do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to school leadership teams, providing expert HR guidance on complex matters.
  • Champion a culture of positive performance through proactive coaching and sound workforce management practices.
  • Collaborate with others to deliver exceptional customer service and innovative HR solutions.

What you will ideally bring:

  • Contemporary HR expertise, preferably within the public sector, with a proven ability to navigate complex workforce challenges.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships across all levels of our organisation.
  • A customer-first mindset combined with a thorough understanding of HR operations and strategic planning.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in the area of injury management and an understanding of Independent Medical Examinations will be highly regarded.
