Join Our Team! We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our friendly and supportive team. In this role, you'll provide expert advice and support on a wide range of HR matters, working closely with a portfolio of state schools located in the Metropolitan North region, as well as central and regional office staff.

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in helping our organisation achieve its goals and adapt to change, all while being part of a team with an excellent workplace culture that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide timely and practical HR advice to school leaders and staff across state schools, central, and regional offices.
  • Help develop and implement workforce plans, structures, and processes that meet school and department's needs.
  • Support change management and build strong relationships with school leaders and other clients to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Assist with recruitment, performance management, and conflict/grievances.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies, processes, and systems to improve how we work.
  • Provide general advice on workplace health and safety, staff wellbeing, and return-to-work programs.

What We're Looking For:

It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:

  • A strong background in HR.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative HR solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with school leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, performance management, and workplace health and safety practices.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing change and supporting staff.

This position is full time, temporary, commencing as soon as possible until 26 June 2026, unless otherwise determined. Flexible work options are available, including the option to work from home two days per week.
