Applicants will have demonstrated experience in leading curriculum and teaching and learning in HPE curriculum.
As an instructional leader, the Head of Department - HPE, will play a key role in the development, implementation, and quality assurance of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA Senior Curriculum whilst embedding the College's pedagogical framework and practices.
They will work with the Leadership Team to lead a culture of continuous improvement in a collaborative and collegial learning community.
This opportunity requires the successful candidate to have strong flexibility, as well as collaborative, leadership, change management and communication skills. A drive to establish and maintain strong relationships within and beyond the College community is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the College department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
