In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for implementing the college's vision and contributing to the whole-college explicit improvement agenda.

A key focus will be on building the pedagogical capacity of staff to ensure inspirational teaching, highly engaging learning experiences, and success for every student.

As Head of Department - English, you will guide the faculty, support differentiated practices, and promote a culture of continual improvement driven by effective data analysis, collaboration, and high-quality curriculum delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
