Geebung State School is looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic person to contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the front office.

As Administrative Officer you will provide support in the areas of enrolments, administration, data entry and reception services.

The role will include both student services and front reception and involves interactions with students, parents, staff and the wider community.

You will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.83FTE), 60 hours per fortnight.

Geebung State School is located on the Corner of Newman and Ellison Roads in the northern Brisbane suburb of Geebung. It is approximately 11 km from the city.

Geebung State School provides education for students from prep to year six.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Autonomy to perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature and
    directed by the Principal or the Business Manager.
  • Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), arranging appointments,
    correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, such as incident reports, student
    admissions, enrolments and departures, processing incoming and outgoing mail and email, and once approved,
    ordering and arranging student transport for sport excursions, trips and other school activities.
  • Assist with human resource tasks for school support staff, including the preparation and printing of timesheets, leave applications, and rosters. Provide a range of administrative and support services, including coordinating documentation and assisting with the arrangement of approved relief staff as directed.
