EOI - Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities - Caboolture State High School

As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities support to the principal.
You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard, follow set instructions and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature.

About the School
Caboolture State High School is a co-educational secondary school in Moreton Bay, catering for students in Years 7-12. About the Role
- Maintaining school grounds, including maintenance of school ovals, grounds, gardens, regular mowing and weeding
- Providing operational support for the grounds and facility management issues, such as attending to or arranging repairs and maintenance for routine breakdown
- Interact with external contractors and tradespersons in relation to damage to facilities and repair and maintenance to the school
- Delivering and collecting of mail, banking of school funds
- Moving/arranging furniture or relocating from room to room
- Liaise with the Principal and Business Manager regarding maintenance of faciltities
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including maintenance of a safe work enviroment; safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuels, bring to attention any safety hazards, maintain tools
- Management of deliveries to the school
- Monitor and maintain school facilities (including locks, windows, lighting etc)
- Other suitable duties consistent with duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
