About Kelvin Grove State College:
Kelvin Grove State College is part of a unique educational precinct located three kilometres from Brisbane's CBD and directly adjacent to the Queensland University of Technology.

Each Head of Department leads a large and complex area within a P-12 context of approximately 3,700 students, contributing to a highly collaborative and strategic leadership environment.
About the Role:
As Head of Department (Business & eLearning), you will lead a large faculty in the design and delivery of innovative and responsive curriculum and co-curricular programs.
You will oversee curriculum development, alignment and implementation across Year 6 to Year 12, and contribute to the broader strategic agenda of the college as a member of the Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development, implementation and review of the eLearning and Business curriculum across Years 6 to12, aligned with college and departmental priorities
- Drive improvement in the quality of teaching and learning through coaching, feedback and professional development
- Lead and manage staff to build a high-performing, collaborative team culture
- Oversee curriculum planning, assessment and reporting practices within the faculty
- Nurture positive and productive relationships with students, staff and the wider community
- Contribute to whole-school strategic priorities and initiative
The Head of Department is line managed by the relevant Deputy Principal.
About You:
- This role is suited to a dynamic, relational and highly organised educator with a passion for curriculum leadership and building and maintaining capable teams.
- The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to set high expectations, think strategically, and lead with a proactive and collaborative approach within a large and complex P to 12 environment.
