Industry Liaison Officer - Mango Hill State Secondary College

Mango Hill State Secondary College is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Industry Liaison Officer to support the delivery and growth of School Based Apprenticeships and vocational education pathways for secondary students. This dynamic role works closely with employers, training providers, industry groups, schools and the wider community to create meaningful employment and training opportunities that support students’ successful transition from school to further education and the workforce. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.69FTE), 50 hours per fortnight.

Mango Hill State Secondary College is one of Queensland's newest secondary schools, opening in 2020 and growing to a full Year 7-12 cohort in 2024. About the Role:

The successful applicant will play a key role in developing industry partnerships, coordinating work experience and apprenticeship opportunities, promoting vocational pathways, and supporting students to achieve positive career outcomes. This position is ideal for a proactive communicator who is passionate about building strong networks, engaging with industry and supporting young people to explore future career pathways.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and promote School Based Apprenticeships, vocational training and work experience opportunities for students.
  • Build strong partnerships with employers, training providers, schools, industry and community organisations.
  • Support student recruitment, career readiness and transition-to-work pathways.
  • Monitor student participation, progress and program outcomes within vocational education pathways.
  • Contribute to marketing, stakeholder engagement, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant apprenticeship and traineeship legislation, policies and procedures.
