Hilder Road State School is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative and motivated Head of Department - Curriculum to join our leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced curriculum leader who is passionate about high-quality teaching, learning and student success.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong instructional leadership, a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum, and the ability to build positive relationships across the school community.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.8FTE), 40 hours per fortnight.

The successful applicant will play a key role in leading curriculum implementation, supporting teacher capability, and strengthening whole-school approaches to pedagogy, assessment and moderation. Working closely with the Principal, leadership team and staff, the Head of Department - Curriculum will help drive strategic improvement aligned to school priorities and the needs of our learners.

This position would suit a leader who is organised, reflective and solutions-focused, with a genuine commitment to working alongside teachers to improve student outcomes. We are looking for someone who can lead with clarity, care and purpose while contributing positively to the ongoing growth and success of Hilder Road State School.

  • Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
