This position is being offered on a Temporary Part-Time basis (0.80 FTE), 61 hours per fortnight until 25 January 2027, unless otherwise determined.

About the School
Pullenvale Environmental Education Centre is an Education Queensland day visit Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre where primary-aged children connect with nature and learn through story. Nestled in the beautiful leafy surrounds of Pullenvale in west Brisbane, our unique Centre boasts historical buildings and landscaped areas which inspire our visitors and enrich learning.
As part of a dynamic and supportive team, we believe that our cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining safe, clean and welcoming learning environments for students, staff and visitors. We are looking for applicants who take pride in their work, have a strong attention to detail, can work independently and as part of a team, and are committed to maintaining high cleaning standards that are required in educational settings.

Your Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining clean, safe and welcoming learning spaces across the Centre, including a small theatre, historical spaces, offices, amenities and outdoor areas
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Hosing, sweeping and vacuuming.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
Security
- Locking and unlocking buildings.
Liaison
- Liaising with Principal/Business Manager concerning purchase and/or replacement of cleaning materials.
- Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to the Principal/Business Manager or Unit Support Officer.
- Referring members of the public to relevant school personnel as required.
