Woody Point Special School is seeking a professional, organised and welcoming AO3 Administration Officer to join our busy administration team.

This position will be based at the school's front desk and will be the first point of contact for students, families, staff, visitors and external service providers.

We are looking for someone who brings warmth, professionalism and a genuine willingness to support others.

Woody Point Special School is a specialist school located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, providing high-quality educational programs for students with disability from Early Childhood through to Year 6.

You will use initiative to keep the front office running smoothly while demonstrating strong communication, attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Above all, you will be approachable, adaptable and committed to providing a welcoming and professional experience for students, families, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality customer service to students, families, staff and community members.
  • Respond to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Process student enrolments and coordinate enrolment documentation and appointments.
  • Maintain accurate student records and administrative databases.
  • Monitor daily student attendance and follow up unexplained absences.
  • Undertake data entry and prepare routine correspondence and documentation.
  • Maintain effective records management systems and ensure confidentiality of information.
  • Provide general administrative support to contribute to the efficient operation of the school office.
