Finance Services are looking for a Clinical Coder to join their team. Finance Services provides financial leadership, business advice, strategic financial policy and governance to enable Metro South Health to deliver quality and efficient health services to the community. The Department is responsible for the provision of management and financial accounting services, business performance and analysis as well as Private Practice and Revenue functions.

About the Role

• Utilise appropriate resources and applications and liaise with team members and clinicians to clarify information (via IQ) as required; and Identify discrepancies between the clinical information systems and patient records and take action to rectify through appropriate channels.
• Actively participate in and contribute to quality improvement, education activities, and other initiatives within the Clinical Coding Service including auditing processes.
• Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds, gender, identity, ages or abilities.
