Department of Surgery are looking for a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join their team. The Division of Surgery across Bayside Health Service network provides surgical care, OPD and inpatient care to the local community. This role is likely stationed at Redland Hospital but may require rotation/ on call services at other sites across Metro South Health Service. This role requires the Staff Specialist to participate in the outreach service roster (Mt. Isa and Roma Hospitals)

About the Role 

• Administer and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team providing care to patients requiring services offered by the Department of Surgery.
• Advise on patient management in accordance with the best interests of the patient.
• Supervise the clinical care of patients by resident medical staff and liaise with other hospital staff to achieve best care for patients.
