Clinical Nurse Consultant
Princess Alexandra Hospital, Logan Hospital, Redlands Hospital
Drug & Alcohol Brief Intervention Team are looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their team. The Addiction Services Drug and Alcohol Brief Intervention Team (DABIT) is based at Logan and Princess Alexandra Hospital Emergency Departments and provides out-reach services to Redland Hospital Emergency Department. DABIT are a specialised team of Nurses who provide clinical support to staff and the presenting patients that are affected by substance use issues. The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of alcohol and other drugs.

About the Role
- Responsible for clinical leadership for Alcohol and Drug Services through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care.
- Maintain high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to inform and train the healthcare team of clinical practice updates and research findings within Alcohol and Drug Services area.
- Utilise advanced clinical skills and expertise to support nurses in patient care planning, delivery and education.
- Responsible for the content expertise for Alcohol and Drug Services specialty to provide the highest standards of safe quality care and clinical nursing practice to meet the requirements for person centred care.
