Asset Management Systems Officer

QEII Hospital is looking for an Asset Management Systems Officer to join their team. QEII is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services and a 24-hour emergency department. QEII provides a range of specialties including general medicine, surgery, cardiology, geriatric medicine, gynaecology, orthopaedics, intensive and coronary care, neurology, gastroenterology, urology and respiratory medicine. This role contributes to the development and delivery of best practice asset management solutions through strategic planning, procurement, commissioning, maintenance and asset retirement/disposal processes.

About the Role
- Participate in the development and management of a range of strategies, planning and reporting documents (Health Technology Equipment Replacement Capital Acquisition funding, Auxiliary funding, Asset lifecycle planning for <$5,000 items, Sole Supply briefs, offer evaluations) to ensure that QEII delivers outcomes that align with strategic intentions, addresses risk and compliance and derives value over the asset lifecycle.
- In consultation with relevant stakeholders and clinicians, manage medical and office furniture assets through the development of asset life cycle modelling from condition assessments of existing equipment, BTS maintenance reports, future planning cycles, modifications of current life cycles, procurement staff training compliance and disposal.
- Contribute to the integrity of the governance processes relevant to the accreditation standards for Asset Management.
- Provide administration assistance in the creation of asset shells, purchase orders, verifications and receipt of asset acquisitions, asset transfers or relocations, and end of life treatment options according to asset accounting procedures to ensure compliance and due diligence.
