Clinical Nurse - Perioperative (Scrub / Scout)
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, Metro South Health
Perioperative Services, are looking for a Clinical Nurse (Scrub/Scout) to join their team. Perioperative Services is located on Level 2 in the main Building of QEII Jubilee Hospital and comprises of seven operating rooms, holding bays, interview rooms, anaesthetic rooms. Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) with 10 recovery bays and Day surgery Unit (DSU). Theatres and PACU are fully operational Monday to Friday and are supplemented with on-call teams for emergency after hours. The weekend service comprises rostered morning and afternoon shifts and on call to run an emergency Theatre.

About the Role
- Provide advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning, and coordination skills in the clinical management of perioperative patients/residents/clients with complex care needs.
- Demonstrate a high level of clinical critical thinking and problem-solving skills, applying theory into nursing practice in the provision of best practice.
- Apply the quality framework by engaging in incident reporting/investigation and conducts quality improvement audits and develops risk minimisation strategy activities to promote safe and/or rectify unsafe practice.
- Provide clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research.
