Clinical Governance Unit are looking for a Consumer Liaison and Engagement Officer to join their team. Redland Hospital is the major health centre for Redland City and Brisbane’s southern bayside suburbs, located an easy thirty-minute drive from Brisbane. Redland Hospital is a 172-bed acute secondary teaching hospital. Redland specialises in integrated care with close and effective links with the local GP services and the community.

About the Role
- Promote a consumer focussed organisation through the development of a just culture and provide advice and guidance to individuals and workgroups within the organisation about consumer feedback management, ensuring staff are adequately supported and empowered to deal with complaints appropriately at the front line.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure that staff and members of the public have appropriate access to, and awareness of, information concerning their rights and responsibilities, Department of Health Complaint Management Guides and local consumer feedback procedures.
- Manage investigations and responses to Office of the Health Ombudsman complaints in liaison with the hospital management, senior clinicians and other key stakeholders.
