Pharmacist (Medicines Management) Senior

Office of the Executive Director Medical Services are looking for a Pharmacist (Medication Management) Senior to join their team. The Medicines Management Unit, in conjunction with the MSH Medicines Management Committee provides overall governance of medicines within the Metro South Hospital and Health Service. The unit exists to facilitate consistent, evidence-based decision making and oversight of medicines within MSH to promote safe and quality use of medicines.

About the Role
- Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
- Develop and review health service wide documents ensuring the documents remain current and aligned to best practice. This may include utilising high-level leadership and management skills to facilitate consensus on policy across professional and specialist boundaries.
- Utilise advanced level of clinical knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure evidence-based prescribing in MSH, including as an editor of programs and systems to support safe prescribing and a key contact for complex clinical queries in relation to the guidelines for MSH.
