Your new Role:
The role involves accurately assigning specific morbidity and procedural classifications to patient episodes using ICD-10-AM, ensuring compliance with Queensland Health data reporting requirements. It also includes liaising with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality and timeliness of morbidity data by supporting the provision of documentation that improves coded data accuracy.

- Degree in Health Information Management
- Strong organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Capable of delivering exceptional coding accuracy and ensuring timely completion of coded data.
- Successful completion of a coding course in ICD 10 AM, in a recognised facility or equivalent, inclusive of:
- Comprehensive Medical Terminology course or Challenge Examination in Medical Terminology
- Introductory ICD 10 AM, ACHI and ACS clinical coding course (or equivalent)
- Intermediate ICD 10 AM, ACHI and ACS clinical coding course (or equivalent)

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
