Your new role:
As a Nurse Educator in the Emergency Department, you will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of clinical education programs that strengthen capability and promote excellence in emergency nursing care. This role supports staff development, fosters a culture of lifelong learning, and contributes to patient safety and quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing evidence-based education and training for emergency nurses.
- Supporting clinical staff through mentoring, coaching, and simulation-based learning.
- Leading quality improvement, research, and workforce development initiatives.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice and patient-centred care.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated nursing educator with advanced clinical knowledge in emergency care. You will be a collaborative leader who inspires confidence and supports professional growth.
You will demonstrate:
- Current NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse and extensive emergency nursing experience.
- Strong skills in education, training program design, and workforce development.
- Ability to use evidence-based practice, research, and data to inform education and service outcomes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
