About the Role
- Source appropriate data, complete data entry, and generate reports from relevant systems, to ensure all applicable costs are attributed to patients electing to be treated as a fee-paying patient.
- Review admissions on a daily basis and follow up potential fee-paying patients at ward level to ensure patients have been properly presented with their classification option as specified by the Health Insurance Act and ensure necessary documentation and liaison is undertaken (with doctor, ward staff and health funds).
- Provide training for colleagues to increase awareness of own-source revenue initiatives, including patient election processes, funding agreements and identification of all potential patient revenue. Develop relevant information sheets for staff.
