Professional Capability & Governance unit are looking for Director of Nursing and/or Midwifery Education and Research to join their team. The Metro South Health (MSH) Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery (EDNM) Division provides overarching governance, leadership, strategic support and guidance for the Nursing and Midwifery professions across the health service. The EDNM Division is responsible for creating and delivering the MSH Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and associated Workforce, Education and Research priorities in alignment with the MSH Strategic Plan.

About the Role
- Possess highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, consultation and communication skills to deal with the needs and concerns of internal and external stakeholders and health service partners, including the ability to manage people and situations flexibly and responsively.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery education, research, practice, standards, legislation and health care management, proactively addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
- Collaborate in the development of a research vision, sponsoring, advocating and engaging in research projects translating evidence into practice.
- Accountable for nursing midwifery clinical practice, activities standards and outcomes in line with strategic and operational plans and service targets applying clinical knowledge and expertise in the application of standards, frameworks and delivery of safe patient centred care outcomes.
