Your new role:

As the Senior Director, Budgets and Analysis, you will lead the design and execution of robust budget frameworks that underpin financial sustainability and operational excellence across Metro South Health. Within this role you will:

  • Lead the development and management of Metro South Health's annual budget process, liaising directly with the Department of Health on Service Agreement funding.
  • Provide expert advice on resource allocation, expenditure, forecasting and financial compliance across the service.
  • Support the Chief Finance Officer and other executive members with financial strategies and management.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement in financial management.

About you:

You are a seasoned financial leader with a strategic mindset and a track record of delivering financial frameworks and insights in complex environments, ideally within healthcare or the public sector. Your leadership style fosters collaboration, innovation and accountability. In additional you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in financial strategy, budgeting and analysis in a large, multi-faceted organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing finance teams, drive change and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear insights and negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Commitment to excellence, ethical leadership and continuous improvement in service delivery.
