About your role
As the Business Manager – Community, you will provide expert financial and business management support to Metro South Health's Community and Oral Health units. This fixed-term role is pivotal in delivering timely, strategic advice, overseeing budgeting and financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements. With financial delegation authority and staff oversight, you will help shape the future of community health services through sound business planning and financial management.
About you
You are a strategic thinker with proven financial management expertise in complex organisations. You bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach, and excellent communication to influence key stakeholders. Your ability to develop business cases, manage budgets, and utilise financial systems will help you excel in this role. Experience in healthcare or community services is highly valued.
Key skills:
- Demonstrated financial and business management in complex settings
- Strong skills in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis
- High-level written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Experience in business planning and business case development
- Proficient in enterprise financial systems (e.g., S/4HANA, DSS) and MS Office

Community and Oral Health Services:
Community and Oral Health Services deliver a broad range of quality community-based care and support services to help people improve and maintain their wellbeing and independence as well as oral health services to adults and children.
We deliver a myriad of services across Metro South including Hospital in the Home, Rehabilitation, Chronic Disease, Acute Care, Dementia Outreach, Oral Health, and specialist residential care along with delivering numerous other vital community health services.
Our services are delivered by multidisciplinary teams of nursing and allied health staff with the skills and experience to treat a full range of health needs.
