About your role
As an Advanced Rehabilitation Therapy Aide, you will deliver vital psychosocial support and community linkages to mental health consumers under the guidance of clinicians. Working within the Transitional Housing Team and broader Addiction and Mental Health Services, your role supports recovery by assisting in clinical assessments, implementing treatment programs, facilitating transport and advocacy, and supporting consumers' independent living skills. You'll be an active part of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to consumer-centred care in community and hospital settings across Metro South.
About you
You bring experience supporting people with complex mental health needs in rehabilitation settings. You communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and are skilled in assisting therapists to deliver consumer-focused programs. Your organisational skills and knowledge of mental health frameworks will help you thrive in this dynamic, supportive role.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Experience in mental health rehabilitation or allied health assistance
- Skilled in assisting with clinical assessments & treatment programs
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and community services
- Commitment to quality, safety, and person-centred care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
