Your new role:
We are looking for a passionate and driven Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Community Services Team at Metro South Health. This is an exciting opportunity to drive service innovation and foster high-performing clinical teams across community settings.
- Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team delivering acute, post-acute, rehabilitation, and restorative care across Eight Mile Plains and Cornubia.
- Oversee human, financial, and material resources, ensuring efficient service delivery and a positive team culture.
- Drive clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement activities aligned with national standards.
- Collaborate with senior nursing and allied health professionals to improve service models and deliver person-centred, evidence-based care
About you:
You're a collaborative and inspiring leader with strong clinical insight and a commitment to workforce development. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering excellence in community-based care.
- AHPRA-registered RN with significant experience in community health, hospital avoidance, or post-acute care settings.
- Demonstrated leadership capability in managing a nursing team, including performance, budgeting, and quality frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and lead through change.
- Advanced knowledge of primary health principles, care integration, and contemporary nursing models of care.

Community and Oral Health Services deliver a broad range of quality community-based care and support services to help people improve and maintain their wellbeing and independence as well as oral health services to adults and children.
We deliver a myriad of services across Metro South including Hospital in the Home, Rehabilitation, Chronic Disease, Acute Care, Dementia Outreach, Oral Health, and specialist residential care along with delivering numerous other vital community health services.
Our services are delivered by multidisciplinary teams of nursing and allied health staff with the skills and experience to treat a full range of health needs.
