Your new role:

An exciting opportunity exists for Social Workers (HP3) to join the Social Work Department at Logan & Beaudesert Health Services. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred Social Work services across inpatient and outpatient settings, working as part of an interprofessional team to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients, carers, and families.

  • Provide detailed clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention and discharge planning.
  • Manage an allocated caseload, maintaining accurate documentation and service statistics.
  • Contribute to the supervision of students, allied health assistants, and less experienced staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement, research and service development activities.

About you:

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Social Worker who is committed to evidence-based practice and collaborative care. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, professional integrity, and a dedication to continuous learning.

  • Proven ability to provide effective Social Work assessment and management in acute and community settings.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to work within an interprofessional team.
  • Commitment to professional development and active engagement in learning opportunities.
  • Ability to contribute to service improvement initiatives, research projects, and student education.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
