Your new role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service – Spinal Outreach Team. In this dynamic and specialised position, you'll play a critical role in improving the lives of people living with spinal cord injury.
- Deliver advanced social work and interdisciplinary clinical support to individuals with SCI and their families.
- Provide expert consultancy and proactive clinical interventions using telehealth, in-person visits, and regional outreach.
- Represent the service as a clinical expert, contributing to strategic direction, education programs, and continuous service improvement.
About you:
You are a committed and forward-thinking social work professional with a deep understanding of complex rehabilitation needs.
- Hold advanced clinical expertise in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, with the ability to assess, plan, and deliver care independently and collaboratively.
- Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and supervision to social workers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading service development, quality improvement initiatives, or clinical research that enhances outcomes for people with complex needs.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
